Salt & Sons commissions are created for the spaces, colors, and stories that make a home your own. Whether you have fallen in love with a piece from The Archive or have an entirely new vision in mind, I would be honored to create something especially for you.
Each commission begins with your inspiration. You may share photographs of your space, a favorite color palette, an existing Salt & Sons piece, fabric or wallpaper, or simply an idea. From there, we will thoughtfully select the size, palette, shell composition, frame, and finishing details for your piece.
Because every oyster shell is naturally unique, no two Salt & Sons pieces will ever be exactly alike. Previously sold artwork can be recreated in spirit while allowing the natural character of each shell to make your piece entirely its own.
The Commission Process
Inquire
Submit the commission inquiry below with a few details about what you have in mind. Inspiration photos are always welcome.
Design
Once your inquiry is received, we will connect to finalize the size, palette, frame, and overall direction of your artwork.
Reserve
A 50% non-refundable deposit reserves your commission and begins the creation process.
Create
Your piece is individually painted and finished by hand along the Texas coast. Current commission turnaround is approximately 4-5 weeks.
Final Approval
Once your artwork is complete, you will receive photographs for approval. The remaining balance is due prior to shipping or delivery.
